Dr. Vahid Shadravan is a chemical engineer with a PhD in sustainable processes and catalysis, whose career has been shaped by a strong foundation in experimental science, analytical techniques, and computational modelling. His academic and professional journey has spanned multiple countries, including Denmark and Australia, where he has contributed to research and development across diverse chemical engineering domains. Dr Shadravan’s work is distinguished by its integration of rigorous experimentation with advanced modelling approaches, enabling deeper insights into complex reaction systems and process optimisation. Currently, Dr Shadravan is focused on advancing Biomass and Waste-to-X technologies at CSIRO, with particular emphasis on thermochemical processes such as gasification. His research supports Australian industry and transport in their decarbonisation efforts by developing scalable, sustainable solutions for converting low-value feedstocks into valuable products. Through his interdisciplinary expertise and international experience, Dr Shadravan continues to play a key role in shaping innovative pathways toward a circular and low-emissions future.
