Professor Dr. Das received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan with specialty in Thermo-fluids science. Later Dr. Das worked at McGill University, Canada with multiphase liquid-crystal polymer synthesis and characterization, and also worked at University of Victoria, Canada with PEM fuel cell research. Then Dr. Das joined at Kettering University as a tenure-track Assistant Professor and is currently working as a full tenured Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Kettering University, Flint, Michigan, United States of America. Professor Das has extensive experience and expertise in Fuel Cell, Battery, renewable Energy and Electric Vehicle research.

Both experimental and computer model simulation methods are utilized in Professor Das’ research activities. Professor Das’ scholarly contributions include United States patents, book chapters, high impact research journal papers/articles, peer-reviewed conference papers, multiple awards and invited/keynote speaker in national and international research seminars/symposiums/conferences.
