Laurent van Helden is director sales and market development in Australia and New Zealand for Plug Power electrolysers. Laurent joined Plug with the acquisition of Frames Group by Plug in 2021. He relocated back to Australia in 2022 to lead the sales and market development for Plug. In Australia Laurent has been working together with clients and partners to offer electrolyzer solutions from refueling station size projects all the way up to major hydrogen generation plants

Laurent has extensive knowledge of the hydrogen landscape in Australia and New Zealand as well as the major players and projects overseas. He has been supporting clients with their Hydrogen Headstart submissions, their feasibility, pre-FEED and FEED studies as well as providing required information for various other projects.

Laurent studied electrical engineering at the University of Sydney in Australia After his study he moved to Netherlands where he worked as an airport systems engineer for 3 years at Deerns consulting engineers in the Netherlands. In 2004 he joined Frames Group. With Frames his career took him to India and United Arab Emirates and after the acquisition of Frames by Plug back to Australia.
