Francesco Mauriello

Francesco Mauriello is Associate Professor of Chemical Foundations of Technologies at the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria, Italy. He received his PhD from the University of Bologna in 2008. His research concerns heterogeneous catalysis and hydrogen-transfer reactions for the conversion of biomass, polyolefins and industrial residues into fuels, chemicals and catalytic materials. He has carried out research at Hokkaido University, RWTH Aachen University and Queen’s University. He coordinates the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Mechanical Engineering and serves as Rector’s Delegate for Research and Scientific Laboratories at DICEAM. He received the IUPAC Young Scientists Award in 2011.
