Carly Irving-Dolan is one of Australia’s most well-known transformational business leaders. Carly’s reputation for fostering tech-savvy ideas and building high-performance teams has also made her a prominent figure in the push for sustainable energy solutions. Carly is an accomplished executive with 25+ years of experience leading innovation and growth in the energy, telecommunication, and transport sectors. She has led groundbreaking projects, including fully off-grid EV charging stations and large-scale solar and wind farm developments, and VPP, all the while driving the transition to cleaner, sustainable energy solutions. As the Chief Executive Officer at Prospecta Utilities, Carly brings decades of expertise in strategic planning, execution, leadership, and customer experience. Prior to her current role, Carly held the role of Chief Executive Officer at NRMA Energy, where she was responsible for developing NRMA’s electric vehicle and energy strategy. She and her team established the company’s first national electric fast-charging network.

In the past 25 years, Carly has held many executive roles, with experience driving innovation and growth across the energy, telecommunications, transport, education, disabilities, and retail sectors. As a former CEO of Yurika, Carly oversaw the operational and strategic management of Energy Queensland’s commercial arm. She also held executive leadership roles at Energex and Energy Queensland.

Carly is also passionate about achieving gender balance in sectors where females are underrepresented and has been heavily involved in energy transition advocacy with governments and industry stakeholders. In 2024, Carly was awarded for her dedication to driving significant change in the energy sector and championing gender balance, being announced as one of Australia’s Women in Business Excellence.
