
Buntora Pasaribu

Dr. Buntora Pasaribu is an Assistant Professor of Marine Sciences at Universitas Padjadjaran and the founder of TORGAS Bioenergy. He earned his PhD in Biotechnology from National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan, and completed postdoctoral research at Rutgers University, USA, specializing in energy storage from marine and aquatic plants. He is the author and co- author of 45 research articles and 5 book chapters. Recognized in 2023 as one of Indonesia’s 115 Best Innovators in renewable energy, Dr. Pasaribu’s work bridges marine science, bioenergy, and climate sustainability. His research spans marine biosystems, carbon sequestration, microplastics, genetics, and pollution. Since 2025, he has served on the Editorial Board of Scientific Reports (Nature Publishing Group).
