Alba Ruiz Leon is a Non-Executive Director at Specialised Energy Solutions (SES) and former Chief Operating Officer at FRV Australia. An engineer by background, she has more than 22 years of experience in renewable energy, including over 20 years across Australia and New Zealand, where she has contributed to the industry's growth from its early stages.

Throughout her career, Alba has held executive and senior leadership roles with FRV, RWE Renewables Australia, Vestas Australia & New Zealand, EnergyAustralia, and ACCIONA, as well as executive advisory positions with AMO Renewables, Cornwall Insight Australia, GHD Advisory, and Ausenco Rylson.

Her experience spans the full renewable energy lifecycle, including development, engineering, construction, operations, governance, and commercial strategy. She contributed to some of Australia's first utility-scale wind farms, including Waubra, Gunning, and Snowtown, supported the development and operation of the 349 MWp Limondale Solar Farm, then Australia's largest solar project, and now provides governance oversight on some of Australia's largest Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

Alba is passionate about accelerating the clean energy transition through innovation, collaboration, and strong leadership. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and promoting sustainable and regenerative living.
